My son became a Marine vet in July 2021, upon returning home he wanted to get a Husky his dream dog. In August he found a breeder a friend of his was using to get her Husky. He got Ryzer just after his daughters 3rd birthday for her he said(we all know it was for both of them) I have never been a big dog person but when I met Ryzer he stole my heart and became our family’s “big puppy”. He gave us so many trying times through chewing our shoes to going potty in our brand new house but he got better as he got bigger. We loved coming home and hearing him “talk” to us, letting his 3 yr old human lay all over him, loving walks with his papa and just being able to be with everyone. We own 2 acres of land and I have never wanted a dog to live a life on a run or in a cage so we worked with him to stay in the yard but have the freedom to run. He never left the yard except to go into the fields and always came to the door when he wanted to come in. But that night he must have been chasing something as he was hit and killed right on the side of our road closet to our house. He was found by my son returning from the firehouse he volunteers at. My son called me at work broken saying Ryzer was gone. No one stopped as my daughter was home, no one said anything just left him there for us to find. People are cruel these days and I don’t know what they are thinking leaving a dog for dead. He was only a baby and had so much life to live. He was our baby and loved being free and playing with the kids and other pups. Ryzer was amazing in his very short life and will be missed so much by us all.
